Apple has just approved UMT Plus MAX work measurement software for resale on the Apple Store. Now more than ever it has become important to deliver software for a range of mobile devices to satisfy our customer's work measurement needs. A limited version of UMT Plus including a complete OEE configuration can be purchased on the App store the PC module is sold separately to allow users to completely customize their time study or work sampling project.

We are excited to announce that after much anticipation UMT Plus is now available for ANDROID!!!
The new look is sleeker and more modern, while maintaining the same reliability and accuracy that you have come to expect expect from Laubrass.
We are still working out some of the extra features and so would advise customers to upgrade the software on a weekly basis after purchasing. We will also extend the free upgrades for 18 months following purchase. However, you can be assured that all main functions and features for time studies and work sampling and simultaneous studies are working just fine.

Laubrass is excited to announce that our UMT Audit is now available for iOS devices!
We worked with our partners at StyleTap and submitted a packaged version of UMT Audit to Apple. Our software was reviewed and accepted by Apple as of last week.
The version that is now available on the App Store is a special UMT Audit 6S version for $149. Laubrass submitted today a new iOS version of UMT Audit for review by Apple developers. We hope to have this version available as an official iPod / iPad / iPhone app soon.
UMT Plus in Portuguese
UMT Plus is now available in 3 languages: English, French and Portueguese. We thank our partners at Gertecsys in Brazil for working with us to translate the software into a third language.
Android version by end of year
Laubrass development team is in the final stage of completing a new version of UMT Plus for Android OS. A first release date of UMT Plus TIM (limited version) is expected in December 2011.

Laubrass signs with a new distributor in France
Laubrass Inc. announces a new strategic alliance with Prodest QTM, an organization located in France specializing in industrial consulting. Owner of Prodest QTM., Marcel Bongart, feels that there is a definite need in the European industrial market for tools that optimize work measurement and auditing processes.
Prodest QTM will be distributing Laubrass products mainly in France and the Czech Republic. This new partner will also begin a new teaching project using UMT Products in a professional training establishment that specializes in managing industrial production: Institut Supérieur de Promotion Industrielle.

Retail industry expert Bill Tolo has joined the Laubrass organization. Bill Tolo is a principal process improvement consultant for PF&D Services LLC based in Minneapolis, MN and now a partner with Laubrass representing the UMT Products line.
Tolo has 25 years of corporate working experience as a Sr. Industrial Engineer with Best Buy, Macy's, Target Corporation: Marshall Field's, Unisys, Teledyne, & RCA. He also served on the IIE Board of Trustees as SVP Chapter Networking, was the 2007 IIE Annual Conference Solutions Chair- Nashville, TN and is past president of IIE Twin Cities Chapter 38.

Healthcare solutions at SHS conference
Laubrass had a strong showing at the Society for Healthcare Systems Conference in Chicago. Experts in work measurement, Bill Tolo and Nelson Lee accompanied Laubrass' President Charles Brassard and Laubrass Vice President of Strategic Alliances, Marc Jeannotte, to the show last week. "There was a lot of interest in how our software is helping the healthcare industry" said Marc Jeanotte.
Laubrass teamed up with Rapid Modeling to showcase their Layout IQ as well as Time Study RN and Laubrass' own UMT Plus and UMT Audit. All software solutions are proving to be increasingly useful in hospitals that are trying to optimize their resources and cut back on wasteful spending while improving patient care.

New Line Balancing Charts available for UmtPlus®
Line Balancing has proven to be a great visual aid to further improve productivity. You can balance your work loads so that each operator or work station is meeting your set takt times. UmtPlus® now includes the most effective and easy to use Line Balancing Charts available within time study software. Data is automatically entered for each line that you insert. You can add up to 16 lines per chart and every line can include as many compatible studies as you want. This new feature is very easy to use and helpful to any time study analysis. See below an example of how the Line Balancing Chart looks in StatUmt.
Once you have selected the lines for your chart, you can easily set and move the takt time. You can also drag and drop work between stations to meet your takt time and later print a report of your movements. You can include or exclude any of the lines or elements at anytime. Details for each element are shown when you scroll over them and are color coded according to their activity type. Line balancing charts can be seen by category, summary by category or by global. For examples of printed Line Balancing Charts, click the attachment below.

NEW Excel feature works to easily populate your existing spread sheets
Many of our customers have told us how beneficial it would be if the data that they collected on their handheld could be directly inserted into their existing Excel templates, so we made it happen.
Now you can easily program each element field so that it sends data to specific cells within your Excel template. It's really easy to do and saves you countless hours of data entry. You will of course still have access to all of the graphs, charts and reports in the StatUMT / StatAudit program as well.

Laubrass asked to speak in New York
The Deming Management Club has invited Laubrass to deliver a presentation "How Do You Measure Success? Start With Quality!"
The presentation will discuss how work measurement is often used to identify waste within a process with the ultimate goal of increasing overall productivity. What is ironic about this is that the traditional method of using stopwatches and notepads is a waste of time. We will present the UmtPlus software, which is an innovative software that leverages handheld/PDA technology to replace the lengthy process of using stopwatches and notepads for time studies and work sampling.

Success at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Conference
Laubrass' President and Vice President recently supported our partner Rapid Modeling in show casing TimeStudyRN at the annual IHI conference in Orlando.
